Friday, April 27, 2012
This program is appropriate for Grades 3-12
In honor of the 150th Anniversary of the start of the Civil War, the Bartow History Museum and the Booth Museum are offering the chance to bring your students to an unforgettable Civil War experience. This one day special event is just for school groups and will bring history to life for
students through interaction with soldiers from both sides of the War. Choose from four performance times to experience the life of a Civil War soldier, then visit a field hospital, see a canon being fired and much more. Demonstrations of blacksmithing, rifle firing, and signaling
along with a visit to the home front will also provide students with a unique perspective on the War. Students may also visit special exhibitions inside each museum.
