Lectures

Join us to learn more about Bartow County – how our past influences our future, cultural implications, personalities, and places. We feature local and regional historians, authors, and experts in various fields.

The lectures are held in the Multi-Purpose Room; admission is free for members and volunteers and included with Museum admission for not-yet-members.

Lunch & Learn Lecture Series
Third Wednesday of each month from Noon to 1:00 pm. 

February 15, 2012:  Richard Hensley, retired educator and storyteller, will present Stories of the Civil War – “Faith, Hope, Love and Friendship”.    

March 21, 2012:  Dr. Ed Bostick, retired KSU professor and Master Gardner, will discuss planting and maintenance of summer gardens. 


 

Thursday Evening Lecture Series
Last Thursday of each month at 7:00 pm.

February 23, 2012:  Bibby Morgan, John Morgan, and Victor Morgan will discuss the life of their uncle, John Henry Morgan, a Tuskegee Airman who served in WWII.  They will have photographs and other artifacts from their uncle’s life to share with visitors.
